Llachón 2 days, 1 night

Llachón is a small village on the peninsula of Capachica, one of the peninsulas forming the Bay of Puno.
The inhabitants live from agriculture, cattle-breeding and, thanks to its geographical situation, also from fishing.
It is a region of rural character and ideal for relaxing.

Arrival in Puno

We pick you up at the airport or at the bus station and take you to your hotel in Puno. (optional)

Day1: Puno – Uros – Llachón

In the morning we reach the port of Puno and depart in direction of Llachón.

  • After a 30 minute trip we visit the floating islands of the Uros to experience their unique way of life and explore the island.
  • While continuing our voyage you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes surrounding the lake.
  • After reaching Llachón we are welcomed by our guest families in their houses. The families are very hospitable and we can participate in their daily activities.
  • The locals speak Quechua, the language of the Incas. It is quite interesting to study a few words of the language, particularly for intercultural encounters.
  • We will take a lunch break.
  • In the afternoon we go on a relaxed hike to one of the highest points of the peninsula; from here you can enjoy the most amazing sunsets of Lake Titicaca.
  • We let the day end with a typical dinner prepared by the guest family. 

Day 2: Llachón – Puno

  • After breakfast we take a walk to the beach to enjoy the tranquility, nature and the view of the larger part of the lake.
  • This is one of a few remaining pleasant and quiet places beyond the noise of civilization.
  • After coming back we have lunch with the family and then start our return trip to Puno.
  • After arriving in Puno we take you to your hotel.

 Day of departure

On this day we take you to the bus station or to the airport. Please inform us about your scheduled departure time one day in advance in order to organize your transfer.

  • Private transport from the hotel to the port and back, according to the number of visitors.
  • Private boattrip.
  • Entrance on theislands.
  • Board and lodging with guest family.
Not included:Transfer from/to the airport, bus station (extra, optional), tips.
  • The islanders‘ houses are rustic and simply furnished which makes them a special place and a unique experience.
  • The accommodation consists of a double room without private bathroom.
  • The houses are always clean and warm blankets are provided sufficiently.
  • The guest family houses may be located further away from each other.
  • We recommend the use of pocket lamps, especially in the evenings or at night.
