Amantaní 2 days, 1 night
Day 1
We pick you up at the airport or at the bus station and take you to your hotel in Puno.
Day 2
Puno – Uros – Amantaní
- Transfer from the hotel to the port.
- Departure to the floating islands of the Uros.
- The visit takes about an hour; you have time to watch the houses from inside and explore the floating islands.
- After the visit we continue our trip to Amantaní where we arrive at around 1 o’clock in the afternoon and are welcomed by a member of our guest family.
- The accommodation is in a guest family’s home with typical lunch.
- In the afternoon we go on a hike up to the highest point of the island; from here you can enjoy the most amazing sunsets of Lake Titicaca.
Day 3
Uros–Taquile–Puno.
After breakfast we go on board our boat and depart towards the island of Taquile where we arrive at the northern landing stage.
In order to enjoy these beautiful landscapes we start our visit with a hike up to the village square. There we can admire different textile craft products in the community business run by several families.
Taquile is known for its knitting men and women, its finest tissues and its unique manufacturing method.
After lunch we walk up to the main port from where we return to Puno. After reaching Puno we will take you to your hotel.
Day of departure
On this day we take you to the bus station or to the airport. Please inform us about your scheduled departure time one day in advance in order to organize your transfer. (optional).
- Tourist guide in the respective language during the whole program.
- Private transport to the port.
- Boat trip with local families from Amantaní.
- Entrance on the floating islands of the Uros, Amantaní and Taquile.
- Board and lodging with guest family on Amantaní.
- The islanders‘ houses are rustic and simply furnished which makes them a special place and a unique experience.
- The accommodation consists of a double room without private bathroom.
- The houses are always clean and warm blankets are provided sufficiently.
- The guest family houses may be located further away from each other.
- We recommend the use of pocket lamps because the is no electricity on the island.
